Kayse Melone - From Christian to Atheist: Books That Got Me Here 24:15 A lot more atheists are men than women. I also think that it's because of the atheist community. It's still a boy’s club. It just is. The “spiritual not religious” community feels a lot more welcoming and open for women. [Women] are more interested in – I truly stand by this – they are more interested in why things matter, in solving real-world problems, in being meaning-driven and purpose-driven and community-driven, than just so stuck on being right… I don't care how much we debunk the Bible, and call-out how the Christian God as a mythology, or call it a fairy tale. I don't care about any of that, if we're not actually then going out and improving the material conditions of people on this planet, Christians included… That's one of the reasons I call myself a “spiritual atheist.” Because I don't want to leave the spiritual girlies out of my circle. They are important to me. 28:09 Chr...

With Trump’s Indictment, the GOP is being described as the Cult of Trump, and the other GOP candidates are scrambling to figure out how to position themselves. Come listen to a fascinating talk with the award-winning documentarian Jen Senko on her film, The Brainwashing of My Dad, and the book based on it. Jen Senko’s experience with her father, Frank, hits close to home for many Americans today. Frank was a happy-go-lucky progressive Democrat when he came across a talk radio show hosted by Bob Grant. He started being more critical of Democrats and was somewhat combative about it. When he fully retired, he discovered Rush Limbaugh and listened to him for three hours daily. Then he started watching Fox News. At that point, his personality changed. He was always angry and couldn’t have discussions with his family anymore without them turning to politics. She delves into the experts who use social psychology to recruit and indoctrinate people. The good news is her f...

Hi, I'm Samuel C Spitalli, author of how to win the war on truth in this video we'll look at the truth about Fox News the idea for Fox News originated in the Nixon White House in a memo entitled, “A plan for putting the GOP on TV news” it was a scheme to film Pro Nixon PR segments disguises news segments and then distribute them to local TV stations to be broadcast to an unsuspecting American audience Roger Ailes, Nixon's image consultant had his fingerprints all over the memo. Fair and Balanced He thought that if they could manipulate the national conversation and offer a counternarrative to the fact-f finding ethic of Journalism they could thwart another Republican president from being impeached when Roger ALS had the opportunity to create such a network with Rupert Murdoch he employed the tools he'd honed as an imag maker alses had no experience in broadcast journalism but he was Adept at crafting paid political programming that could be mistaken for a newscast thi...

0:05 – We turn now to look at the historic settlement reached this week to end Dominion voting systems lawsuit against Fox News for promoting lies about voting machines being rigged against Trump in the 2020 election. On Tuesday, shortly after a jury was picked for the trial, Fox News agreed to pay Dominion a three-quarters of a billion dollars – that's 787.5 million dollars – to settle the lawsuit. As part of the deal, Fox was not required to apologize for airing lies about Dominion. It's believed to be the largest media defamation settlement in history. 7:35 – If they really want their reputation back, or to sort of undo it, or even just undo some of that damage, the only way for that to happen is actually for Fox news to tell their audience that they misinformed them and that they did it knowingly. Obviously, that will never happen and that's in part why the settlement was so high. Because for Fox News, they were willing to pay more money, just to avoid the possibility ...

3:36 Rehm: Richard Rothstein, was there anything deliberate about the way these highways were constructed? And where? Rothstein: Yes, there was. The highways were constructed in this way… The highways are constructed this way as part of an overall Federal program to segregate metropolitan areas. So, it was not only deliberate in the highways, but the highways have to be seen in the context of other Federal policies that were specifically designed to segregate metropolitan areas. For example, the federal housing administration – beginning in the New Deal and shortly after World War II – suburbanized the White population specifically. The federal housing Administration gave production loans to mass production builders of suburbs – to get the white population out of cities and into suburban areas. African-Americans were prohibited from moving into these areas. And so they became more and more overcrowded in urban areas, not having housing options outside the central city ghetto...
Genetically Modified Skeptic – The Brutal Reality of Fighting Christian Nationalism in Texas

7:57 – The lead staffer spoke with us for as long as we needed and even let us take this selfie with her. But she said something pretty disturbing. Near the end of our meeting she said she rarely ever has a group like ours come in to advocate for themselves like this. Usually, she said, the people that come in to speak with her about bills like this are clearly being paid to do so. Now, if you don't know the political landscape in Texas, I'll translate: Well-funded lobbying groups are paying people to visit Democratic representatives’ offices to advocate for religious right-wing causes so often that they can even outnumber the regular people who come by. The rise of Christian nationalism is not organic. Wealthy people are paying for it to take over our government – and public consent for this takeover is being purposely manufactured.

THEY'RE TAKING THE CHRIST OUT OF CHRISTMAS!!!! Why do christians continuously feel like they are being persecuted? Why do they believe that anything other than special treatment is "persecution"? Because fundamentalists don't believe in the separation of church and state, and many of them don't believe in religious liberty for anyone but them. They also don't believe in religious pluralism, or secular education. They also believe that Christians should rule every facet of society, even if by force. These ideals come from Dominion Theology and the 7 Mountains Mandate. Two unbiblical but highly propagandized theologies that pose a direct threat to religious freedom in America. Let’s meet its founders and its teachings to learn more. 1:10:20 – I graduated college in 2011 and even though I was young for graduating (I was only 20 my senior year) Donald Trump spoke at my congregation chapel in Liberty University. This was years before he announced his presidency ...
